Move your family to Mexico with everything handled for you.
A premium relocation service that manages your family's entire move, from school placements and residency to finding your home, through one trusted point of contact. Founded by expats who made the move themselves.
We handle every detail of your move to Mexico.
Schools and admissions
We research the schools that suit your children, manage the applications and assessments, arrange the visits, and prepare the documents each school asks for.
Finding your home
We find the right home within reach of the school, handle the guarantor requirement, and negotiate the lease so the terms work in your favour before you sign.
Healthcare and insurance
Private healthcare in Mexico is genuinely world-class. We register your family with the right hospitals, find English-speaking paediatricians and arrange cover.
Banking and money
Opening a Mexican account as a foreigner is more complicated than most expect. We coordinate it, along with the transfer route your transfers will take each month.
Residency and legal
We manage residency for the whole family, from your consulate appointments to each residence card, plus the RFC numbers you need to rent and enrol.
Settling in
We arrange your orientation, mobile, internet and utilities, plus vetted bilingual nannies or housekeepers and Spanish lessons for the whole family.
Schools decide more than you expect
In most family moves the school sets everything else. Term dates decide when you arrive, admissions cycles decide how early you have to start, and the school you choose narrows the neighbourhoods that make sense to live in.
Curriculum
British, American, German, French, Japanese and the Mexican system, matched to where your children are likely to study next.
Admissions
Applications, entrance assessments, document legalisation and school visits, run to each school's calendar rather than yours.
Location
A shortlist of homes that works for the school run, drawn up before you commit to a lease you would rather not be in.

Most schools do take children mid-year, so arriving in October rather than August is not the obstacle families expect. What makes it complex is that each school runs its own admissions calendar, assessment dates and document requirements, and places in the year groups you need may not be open at the same time. We work to the school's schedule rather than a general one, and every family package starts with the schools before anything else is arranged.
-
We bring in vetted shipping, customs and pet relocation partners and coordinate them alongside everything else, so you deal with us rather than chasing a freight company and an airline from another country. The paperwork is where this goes wrong most often, since both household goods and animals have to line up with your residency status and the import requirements.
-
That is a better place to start than most people think. The school shortlist and the city are the same decision, and working through them together is far less painful than choosing one and then discovering it rules out the other. We put the options in front of you with the trade-offs attached, before anything is signed.
-
Yes. We recruit bilingual nannies, housekeepers and drivers, and we reference and vet them before you meet anyone. Most families want this settled in the first few weeks, and it is one of the harder things to arrange from abroad, since the good candidates come through local networks and word of mouth rather than listings. We also handle the practical side of employing someone here, including what you are expected to pay and the terms that apply.

Every relocation is different, so we give you a tailored proposal after your first call rather than an off-the-shelf price. Fees are quoted in USD.

We’ve put together helpful information to give you a better understanding of how we work and what to expect when using our services.
What happens after you get in touch.
The process is the same for everyone. It starts with a conversation rather than a contract, and you see the full cost before you commit to anything.
Step 1
Your first call
We talk through your situation, where in Mexico you are considering, your timing and your circumstances. It is free, and there is nothing to commit to.
Step 2
Your plan
Within five days you receive a written plan scoped to your move, starting with the schools and covering only the parts you need, with the price agreed before you decide anything.
Step 3
The move itself
We coordinate every part of it through our vetted partner network in Mexico, and you stay with one point of contact from first appointment to settled.
We made this move ourselves.
I moved to Mexico with my wife and children in 2021 and today I am proud to call it our home. Getting here meant choosing a school before I knew the city, choosing a neighbourhood because of the school, and doing both from another country, on a deadline.
ViaMexico exists so that nobody else has to work it out from scratch. We handle the parts that are slow and unfamiliar, so you can get on with the part you actually moved for.
