John Watson is the founder of ViaMexico, a relocation consultancy based in Mexico City. He moved to Mexico in 2021 after selling his company in London, intending to take a sabbatical. He is still here, now with three children in school in the city.

He writes about the practical and personal side of moving to Mexico: residency and the consular process, what living here actually costs, healthcare, and what changes when you move somewhere rather than visit it. He lives in Mexico City and knows it firsthand; through ViaMexico he advises clients relocating to cities across the country.
